Yes, our Flex frames are made of a matte material that allows paint to adhere excellently.

Two coats are usually enough for full coverage. You can easily paint it the same color as your wall for a seamless effect.

You need a mitre shear or a utility knife and a pencil to mark out your lines.

For arches you use a piece of string to set the radius: fix the string at the centre point of the arch, extend it to the length of the radius you want and draw a curved line with it. You will find the full explanation in our installation guide.

Especially for installation, we have a value bundle with a precision square and mitre shear, so you work easily and straight.

Once it is clear where the Flex frames need to go, it is simply a matter of removing the protective tape from the adhesive strip, sticking them on and cutting where necessary.

To cut the mouldings to size, use skirting board scissors or a utility knife to ensure a neat, straight cut.

Make sure the Flex frames are cut straight so the corners align properly! Check this before gluing to prevent gaps.

Kieren ontstaan vooral als de lijst niet recht is afgeknipt. Twee tips: knip de lijst recht af, eventueel onder 45 graden voor de hoeken, en leg de lijst plat op een tafel of de vloer tijdens het knippen zodat hij niet doorhangt en je strak snijdt. Ontstaat er toch een kleine kier? Werk die weg met een beetje acrylaatkit en een likje verf.

This does happen quite often because the adhesive strip is very strong. Luckily there is a trick for it.

Make sure you have a satay or cocktail stick to hand. Slide it under the red strip and move the stick towards the end of the moulding.

Velida Flex mouldings are packed rolled up. Because of that tension, the end of the roll can curl slightly, usually over the last 20 cm. This is normal for flexible material and says nothing about the quality. Before installing, unroll the moulding for a few hours at room temperature. If the end still lifts slightly from the wall, fix it with superglue and activator or cut off the last piece. For this reason, allow for 10% cutting margin when calculating your length.
